The short version
Dipsago does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no servers behind this app, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Everything stays on your device.
What Dipsago does with your data
Dipsago is a water tracking app for iPhone and Apple Watch. It reads and writes your water intake through Apple Health (HealthKit).
All water entries live in Apple's HealthKit database. Dipsago only asks HealthKit for the entries it needs to show you.
To show your data quickly, and so the widgets work, Dipsago keeps small temporary copies of today's water totals and pending entries on your device, for example in the shared app group the widgets use. These snapshots exist only on your device, no other app can read them, and they are removed when you delete Dipsago. Dipsago never sends anything anywhere.
Data on your device
The app stores a few small preferences and local log files so it can remember things like your daily water goal and which screen you last looked at. These files live in the app's own container and are removed when you delete the app. They never leave your device.
Health data
Health data is handled by Apple's HealthKit, not by Dipsago. That means:
- Your water entries are protected by the same privacy controls Apple applies to all health data.
- Dipsago has no access to your data once it leaves your device. It has no server to receive it.
- If you delete an entry in Dipsago, it is removed from HealthKit. To remove everything, delete the entries in the Health app or revoke Dipsago's access in Health settings.
- If you have iCloud Health sync enabled, Apple may sync your Health data to your iCloud account. That happens through Apple's own systems, not through Dipsago.
Notifications
Dipsago can send local reminders to help you drink water. These are created on your device and never leave it. No notification data is sent anywhere.
Third parties
There are none. Dipsago contains no third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking software.
Children
The app is safe for anyone to use. Since no data is collected, there is nothing to protect here.
